Historical successes of market research

Success in market research is not a goal or a casual condition, it is the reward for a job done thoroughly, working hard to understand the different audiences and developing and executing strategies in line with the analysis. Let’s look at five emblematic examples:

Global segmentation: COCA-COLA.
Since its origins, the soft drink multinational has relied on market research to gain an in-depth understanding of the tastes and lifestyles of its diverse audiences, thus adjusting its strategy and strengthening its global positioning.

Customer experience: AMAZON.
Without market research, the e-commerce giant would not have been able to design and develop a global customer-centric strategy or offer the quality of service for which it is known.

Content customization: NETFLIX.
Personalized recommendations are one of the main attributes and virtues of the streaming giant, and are the consequence of a thorough analysis of the viewing patterns and preferences of its subscribers.

Product launches: APPLE.
The launch of the revolutionary iPhone in 2007 was one of the Cupertino company’s greatest successes, and was made possible by the exhaustive market research conducted beforehand to understand the needs and desires of end consumers.

Product launches: TESLA.
Few market research studies have played such a decisive role in innovation strategy as in the case of Tesla. The data collected made it possible to analyze information as diverse as environmental concerns and technological trends in order to propose an assertive and successful approach to the market.

At FOCUS Marketing Research South West Europe we have our own success stories (and we will share them very soon), to show how we are able to generate added and differential value for FMCG companies.
